SAN ANTONIO – A fight after closing time at a downtown bar turned violent and left one man in the hospital.
Police say patrons leaving a bar on College Street near Navarro Street got into an argument with another group shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. Investigators say someone opened fire during the fight, hitting a man who was later taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Raw video from the scene.
Officers on patrol heard the gunshots and spotted suspects fleeing the area. Several agencies, including bike patrol, park police and SAPD, tried to stop a vehicle involved but it did not pull over. Police followed as the suspects’ car crashed into another vehicle at South Flores Street and Kingsbury. Officers detained several individuals for further questioning.
