Social media users say a naked man was seen harassing the sound crew after undressing during The Chainsmokers’ set on Friday at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
“Bro was flipping everyone off, put mud on himself and he tried to fight off anyone who was telling him to put his clothes on,” Redditor u/ItzFredgi- posted, adding that the man began throwing punches and trying to knock down sound equipment. “It went on for ten minutes, and there was no sign of security/apd.”
The electronic duo took notice. In a video posted to TikTok, Andrew Taggart commented, “Naked man is sending me” during the DJ performance. Reddit users were both amused and unsurprised.
“ACL wknd 2 already off to a wilder start lol,” Redditor u/Tejas_Texas commented.
Redditor u/Big-Cod-7046 wrote that the naked man was “absolutely bonkers.”
“He broke some of the equipment at the sound box as well before he ran straight to the crowd bare a—,” they wrote.
The American-Statesman reached out to ACL Fest organizers for comment and has not yet received a response.
