Bryan ISD Superintendent named 2026 Texas Superintendent of the Year

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Bryan ISD Superintendent Ginger Carrabine has been named the 2026 Texas Superintendent of the Year.

Carrabine received the honor this morning at the Texas Association of School Boards’ TXEd Conference, where she was selected from five finalists representing school districts across the state.

The award recognizes Carrabine’s leadership and dedication to Bryan ISD, its students, staff and families.

Carrabine was selected from more than 1,200 public school district superintendents in Texas to receive the statewide honor.

Bryan ISD officials congratulated Carrabine on the recognition, citing her commitment to the district and its community.
