Set on 13.5 acres, the nearly 12,000-square-foot mansion bears Foreman’s stamp, from its George Foreman-branded kitchen to an 11,000-square-foot, climate-controlled collector’s garage that can be converted into a boxing gym. Located at 29310 Martelly Way in Huffman, the property sits about 35 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Built in 2001, the one-story Mediterranean-style home has five bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
“Soaring ceilings, detailed millwork, imported marble, wood flooring, architectural columns and 3 fireplaces, all creating an impressive setting,” the listing reads.
The estate has two kitchens—one where Foreman filmed commercials for his grill business—and two private offices, including one he used to film sermons after becoming a minister, according to the Houston Chronicle. Foreman’s daughter Natalie told the publication she hopes a future buyer will carry on her family’s legacy, hosting gatherings and celebrations at the property.
The home is centered around a steel-framed atrium, allowing natural light to fill the interior. It also features a library, fitness room and walk-in closets.
Outside, a tennis court, basketball court, a tiered stone fountain and expansive lawns define the property. The detached 11,000-square-foot garage can be converted into a boxing gym or basketball court, among other sports uses.
Another 14.79 acres onsite are also available for purchase outside of the listing price.
A boxing icon, Foreman won Olympic gold in the heavyweight division in 1968, claimed the world heavyweight title in 1973 and reclaimed it in 1994 at age 45, becoming the oldest fighter to win the title. He officially hung up his gloves for good in 1997.
Foreman was born in Marshall, Texas, but grew up in Houston’s Fifth Ward and later invested in youth programs across the city, founding a youth community center in Aldine and supporting the Fifth Ward Enrichment Program.
In 1978, he became an ordained minister, founding The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in northeast Houston two years later. Foreman was also a big pet lover, having owned up to 20 dogs at one time.
In the business world, Foreman began endorsing the George Foreman Grill in 1994, with more than 100 million units having since been sold worldwide.
The boxing legend, preacher and businessman passed away on March 21, 2025, at age 76. He had 12 children: seven daughters and five sons, all five named George.
