From Monday to Friday, the College of Business will host its annual Business Week, where students will be able to attend speaker sessions, workshops and a final lunch on Friday.

This is a chance for students to meet with other people who have been where they are, said Hailee Bankhead, community events and alumni coordinator for the College of Business.

Alums, CEOs, founders and bosses of major companies will be on campus, she said.

“It could be a great networking opportunity for them to not only figure out what path they may want to take, but it’s also a great way to meet people who could hopefully get them to that same path,” Bankhead said.

The speakers will go to classes and touch upon topics like accounting, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing and sales, she said.

Workshops will be hosted throughout the week. The workshops will help students create LinkedIn profiles, gain insight into the insurance industry and more.

“They, hopefully, will be able to walk away with a sense of knowing that it’s okay not to know where you’re going, that you can still be successful and that it takes time to build a career,” Bankhead said.

She said this week promotes a sense of community for the college and UTA.

“Bringing these, whether it is all alumni that are coming back or whether there’s just a few different business gurus from the Texas area coming in and just offering their advice, it really promotes a sense of community and pride,” she said.

“You guys are the next business leaders of the world.”
