The Mavericks’ second preseason game against the Houston Rockets will be underway at 5 a.m. Sunday, the final leg of their jaunt to Macao, China.
Fans in a sellout crowd of 14,000 at the Venetian Arena who saw the 135-117 Dallas loss Friday night included actor Jackie Chan, former Houston Rockets star Yao Ming and soccer legend David Beckham. Mavericks majority shareholder Miriam Adelson; her son-in-law, team governor Patrick Dumont; and their family also were on hand as the trip’s hosts and the owners of the Venetian Arena and several hotel and casino properties in Macao.
