Plano Methodist Church will hold its 23rd annual Trunk or Treat from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18
The event will be in the church parking lot at 219 N. Hale St. in Plano.
Children will go from car trunk to car trunk collecting treats at Halloween-decorated trunks, according to a news release from the church.
The release described the event as featuring “friendly ghosts, good witches, and pumpkins at each Halloween-decorated trunk.”
Organizers said the event will include games, a labyrinth, refreshments, a photo booth, and a favorite trunk contest. Children and those passing out treats may wear costumes.
The church is also seeking volunteers to provide trunks. Those providing a trunk are asked to decorate it, supply candy or novelty toys, and arrive at the parking lot by 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.
Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods or paper products for the Kendall County Community Food Pantry, according to the release.
For more information, the church said to call the church office at 630-552-3700 or Linda at 630-552-3828.
