MIDLAND, Texas — UT Arlington men’s golf is back in action for its third tournament of the season, staying in Texas for the Tall City Collegiate. The tournament is being hosted by Wyoming from Oct. 12-13 at Midland Country Club in Midland, Texas.
UTA is coming off its best finish of the season at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, where the Mavericks finished third with a 10-under-par 854. Joseph Hayden led the way for UTA, finishing tied for eighth individually with a 6-under 210.
The Mavericks made one change from their outing at the Bayou City Collegiate. Sawyer Chamblee will take Jen Chie Huang’s spot in the lineup. Luke Schnider and Winston Shen will also compete as individuals.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Joseph Hayden
Hayden led the Mavericks at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, finishing tied for eighth with a 6-under 210.
The graduate student shot three consecutive rounds of 2-under 70, recording par or better on 16 of 18 holes in the final round.
The Dublin, California, native finished tied for second in the field in par-5 scoring, shooting 7-under on those holes.
Chevalier finished tied for 36th at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, posting a 4-over 220.
The senior opened the tournament with a 4-under 68, tying for the lowest round by a Maverick at the event.
The Grapevine native has finished inside the top 40 in both tournaments this season, previously tying for 39th at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic.
Morris finished tied for 16th at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, shooting a 2-under 214 in his season debut.
The sophomore recorded a 4-under 68 in the second round, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 12th hole.
The Avondale, Arizona, native finished tied for fourth in the field with 38 pars, including 16 in the final round.
Chamblee enters the five-player lineup for the Tall City Collegiate, replacing Jen Chie Huang from the previous tournament.
Chamblee will look to contribute as the Mavericks seek to build on their third-place finish at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic.
Dennis finished tied for 23rd at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, recording a 1-over 217 in his second collegiate tournament.
The freshman improved his score in each round, shooting 77-72-68.
The Ventura, California, native closed the tournament with a 4-under 68, recording five birdies and an eagle on the par-4 11th hole.
Individuals
Luke Schnider and Winston Shen
Schnider and Shen will represent the Mavericks as individuals at the Tall City Collegiate.
Their scores will count toward the individual leaderboard but not UTA’s team score.
