Dallas police say the shooting happened around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police say a child has died following an overnight shooting in the Southeast Oak Cliff neighborhood.
In a release, officials say they were called to the intersection of Wadsworth Dr. and S. Great Trinity Forest Way around 1 a.m. for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found an “unresponsive juvenile” that had been shot. The child was transported to the hospital, but did not survive their injuries.
DPD says the investigation is ongoing and more details will be released as they become available.
