San Marcos, Texas — Police are investigating a reported burglary and indecent assault at a Texas State University residence hall, according to university police.
University Police said officers responded around 7:30 a.m. October 11 after someone entered an unlocked room at Cypress Hall. Officers searched the area but did not find the person involved.
Police described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark bucket hat, no shoes or socks and a dark blanket or cape over his shoulders.
University Police said, “No action or inaction by a victim makes them responsible for a crime.”
The investigation is ongoing, according to University Police.
