Suspect vehicle flips during North Richland Hills police chase

Police say speeds reached over 100 miles per hour.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — One suspect is in custody after leading North Richland Hills police on a short chase early Wednesday morning, authorities say. 

According to police, they attempted to pull over a vehicle for suspected drunk driving on Highland Dr. The vehicle then took off, leading police on a short chase with speeds reaching over 100 miles per hour. 

The suspect vehicle flipped and crashed into a pole, police say. Authorities on scene say the suspect was transported to the hospital and is expected to be okay. 

No other injuries to civilians or officers were reported.
