Plano West Senior High School principal Billie Jean Lee has been named the 2026 Campus Administrator of the Year by the Lone Star State School Counselor Association (LSSSCA).

The award recognizes school administrators who champion counseling programs and provide resources and support to help counselors better serve students.

Lee was nominated by Plano West lead counselor Tracey Eubanks, who praised her commitment to students’ academic, social and emotional development, as well as college and career readiness.

“She is our biggest cheerleader,” Eubanks said. “Through her inspiring leadership, she elevates the influence of school counseling at Plano West. She always promotes our efforts and speaks positively about us wherever she can, which motivates us to keep doing our best for students.”

Plano ISD Superintendent Theresa Williams also credited Lee for fostering a supportive environment for both students and staff.

“Billie Jean understands that every student needs someone in their corner; she builds that same support around her counselors so they can do their best work for students,” Williams said. “The trust she has built with her team is at the heart of their work to help every student succeed.”
