The Dallas Cowboys are currently passing around a sickness in the facility, as four players have had a practice or game status affected by an illness over the last week. On Monday, cornerbacks DaRon Bland and Caelen Carson were sent home after arriving to the facility sick.

This is in addition to new trade acquisition Joey Porter Jr. being sent home from AT&T Stadium on Thursday night after arriving to the Cowboys’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers throwing up. He was seen on a stadium Amazon feed being escorted out of the stadium with a trash can. However, he returned to the facility on Monday and practiced with the team.

Last Wednesday, wide receiver Jonathan Mingo also missed practice with an illness. When asked if he was worried about a bug going around, Schottenheimer said he wasn’t.

“We’ve all had a little bit of something,” Schottenheimer said.

Fellow cornerbacks Ameer Speed and Shavon Revel Jr. did not participate in Monday’s practice to rest sore knees. Cornerback Cobie Durant (hamstring) “ramped up his rehab” on Monday in hopes of playing on Sunday, while linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) did more in practice on Monday with the team. Offensive tackle Tyler Guyton (back) and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (quad) were also present at practice after departing in the fourth quarter of last week’s loss to the Buccaneers.

The Cowboys will look to cut off the potential of a contagion being further passed around the locker room ahead of their Week 6 clash with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night at Lambeau Field. Players who may have a tougher shot at playing on Sunday include backup offensive tackle Drew Shelton and backup safety Alijah Clark, who are both dealing with hamstring issues.
