LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Optimum Business and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce have launched the Lifting Up Small Business Grants in Lubbock, a program that will award $5,000 grants to 25 local small businesses.
Optimum Business is investing $125,000 in the program to help selected businesses support their long-term success and contribute to the community’s prosperity.
“Small businesses are the backbone of a thriving community, driving local jobs, innovation and economic growth,” said Amanda Seabaugh, vice president and general manager of Optimum. “At Optimum, we’re proud to invest $125,000 directly into the people and businesses that make Lubbock such a dynamic place to live and work. Through the Lifting Up Small Business Grants, we’re providing local entrepreneurs with meaningful support to help them grow, strengthen their businesses and continue making an impact in the community.”
“Small businesses are at the heart of Lubbock’s economy and are a driving force behind the growth and opportunity we see across our community,” said Nick Atwood, president and CEO of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. “We are incredibly grateful to partner with Optimum Business to provide meaningful financial support to 25 local businesses. These grants will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to invest in their businesses, pursue new opportunities and continue building a stronger Lubbock for years to come.”
The program was established through a partnership between founding partner Optimum Business and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. Grant recipients are expected to be announced this winter. Optimum Business plans to host recognition events with local officials and community partners after the winners are announced.
