Wyatt Johnston’s record of perfect attendance will be broken on Tuesday.
It’s the first time in Johnston’s five-season career that he’ll miss a game. He played in all 82 games in each of his previous four seasons, including his rookie year in 2022-23.
Johnston’s played in all five of Dallas’ games in the early going of this season as well, but will sit on Tuesday. The team has not yet announced whether his illness will cause him to miss Wednesday night’s contest as well, the second leg of a home-and-home with the Avs.
The 23-year-old Johnston is yet to find the net this season but has tallied four assists.
