EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The KFOX14 and CBS4WARN Weather Teams have issued Weather Warn days for Thursday and Friday due to strong winds as a cold front blows into the Borderland.
A High Wind Watch is in effect 6 PM Thursday through 6 PM Friday. Some areas could see blowing sand and dust as well.
The strongest winds will be along west-facing mountain slopes, where the best chance of seeing gusts to 60+ mph will be possible.
There could be some areas of blowing dust as well. So you will want to take it easy on area roadways.

High temperatures will also drop by some 15 to 20+ degrees behind the strong front. With most areas seeing highs in the 60s Friday.
Secure any outdoor lawn furniture, Halloween decorations, trash bins etc, and avoid travel if possible, but use extreme caution if you must be outdoors, and/or on the roads.
