North Texas’ latest location is scheduled to open Oct. 16
Costco is putting a date on the calendar for its newest North Texas warehouse. The 155,000-square-foot Costco at Grandscape in The Colony is set to open Oct. 16, according to a spokesperson from Grandscape.
The store will mark its opening with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The warehouse will sit near the intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard. The project was approved by The Colony City Council in September 2025 and broke ground in December.
“We are very excited about Costco coming to Grandscape,” a spokesperson for Grandscape previously told Local Profile.
A New Costco For Grandscape
The new warehouse is part of Costco’s continued growth across North Texas, where new stores have followed the region’s population growth and demand for large-format retail.
In 2025 alone, three new Costco locations were announced in Collin County. Stores in Prosper and Allen opened that year, followed by the Celina location in August 2026. A new Costco was also announced for Wylie.
The Wylie warehouse is expected to begin construction Oct. 12, 2026, with work scheduled to continue through Aug. 6, 2027.
The Grandscape store adds another Costco to a retail district that already draws shoppers from across North Texas.
