A true gentleman looking for love
“Walter, just like his name would suggest, he is that classic old-world gentleman,” Steve shared.

Walter is calm, loving, potty-trained and gets along well with children and other dogs. He’s also a great travel companion who enjoys car rides, especially when treats are involved!
And Walter is already a star! He recently represented Austin Pets Alive! at an Austin FC game, where he stayed relaxed and happy despite the excitement of a cheering crowd.

Walter is currently living with a foster family, which helps Austin Pets Alive! learn more about his personality outside the shelter.

Austin Pets Alive! needs fosters for mama dogs and puppies
The organization is currently seeking foster families for pregnant and nursing mama dogs.
Steve explained that mother dogs naturally handle much of the care during the first few weeks, while foster families provide a safe environment and help puppies transition to soft food as they grow.
By fostering, volunteers support an entire family of dogs while helping Austin Pets Alive! make room for more animals.
