Aritzia, a high-end clothing brand known for its “everyday luxury” basics, is preparing to open a new location in University Park Village. The Canadian retailer sells contemporary clothing such as wardrobe staples, outerwear like the famous “The Super Puff”, activewear and more.
The store’s arrival will give TCU students and Fort Worth residents another nearby shopping option. For students who value high-quality basics and investment-worthy styles, the new location could make the brand’s offerings more accessible.
Lexie Blikre, a sophomore strategic communication major, said the opening is exciting news for her and her friends.
“Having this store put in an area that is so conveniently close to campus in University Park will definitely make me want to go often, because I feel like I am always down there to get food which will make it ready to just pop in the store,” Blikre said.

The space is occupying what was previously Pottery Barn, which relocated across the street in Westbend in June.
“As soon as the store opens, I definitely plan to visit, especially because I have one at home, and I love with their workout line,” said Blikre.
Aritzia emphasizes versatile basics designed for repeated wear. The brand also highlights its use of resource-efficient materials and production processes in creating its clothing.
When it comes to pricing, Aritzia’s basic T-shirts range from about $28 to $48, depending on the style. By comparison, basic T-shirts at Uniqlo cost around $19.90, while some options at H&M cost less than $10.
“I think the prices are reasonable for splurging on good quality basics because the quality is better, the fabrics will last longer, and most of the time they are more comfortable,” said Savannah Setzer, a sophomore fashion merchandising major. “Buying similar versions for cheaper seems like a good idea; however, the quality does not last and results in having to buy more again.”
According to project information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the construction project is estimated to cost $5.7 million, with the store expected to open in March 2027. The projected opening would fall near the end of Aritzia’s fiscal year.
