The background

Plano’s planning and zoning commission most recently approved site plan changes for the new headquarters at a meeting Sept. 21. The headquarters is also planned to have a 280-foot antenna structure, which was approved by the commission May 4.

The city approved a $20 million economic incentive for the headquarters Feb. 23. AT&T will be required to meet employment benchmarks in exchange for the incentive, per previous reporting. The facility is expected to bring 10,000 jobs to the region by 2039.
