SAN ANTONIO – The 24-year-old man who was in grave condition after the attempted murder-suicide on Overview Place has died and has been identified as Ian Torme Riles, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies were called to a reported shooting in progress near the corner of Overview Place and Brucks Drive.
Sheriff Javier Salazar said deputies were called around 4:30 p.m. to a home for a reported double shooting. He said a homeowner, described as the father of the man believed to be involved, called authorities after coming home and finding two people shot inside the residence.

The victims were described as a young man and a young woman, both in their 20s. Salazar said the man is believed to be the homeowner’s son and lives at the residence. The woman was visiting and was “most likely a woman that’s in a relationship with the young son,” Salazar said.
