A Charleston-inspired oyster bar is slated to open in Austin next year. Daniel Berg and Dylan Salisbury from Berg & Sons Hospitality, as well as Vin Flores, are partnering on the new seafood spot. The Charles Oyster House will launch on Rainey Street next spring, according to a news release.
“We look forward to creating a welcoming place where locals and visitors can gather over great food from brunch through dinner,” Berg said.
The context
Berg, with Berg & Sons Hospitality, is also behind several local dining concepts including Bill’s Oyster and VanHorn’s. Berg and Salisbury previously owned and operated Teddy’s in Austin, which quietly closed in June, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
On the menu
Locals can expect to see fresh seafood, raw and grilled oysters and cuisine inspired by the Carolina coast, according to the release. The restaurant will be open daily for brunch, lunch and dinner.
