An El Paso man has been arrested on a murder charge, accused of a deadly stabbing at a DK convenience store near Fox Plaza, police officials said.
Manuel Ivan Gutierrez, 30, of the East Side, is accused of killing Juan Francisco Gomez, 44, during an altercation Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, at the DK at 5600 Alameda Ave. next to Buena Vista Street, according to a new release from El Paso Police Department detective Judy Oviedo, a police spokeswoman.

Manuel Ivan Gutierrez was arrested on a murder charge in connection with the stabbing death of Juan Francisco Gomez, 44, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at a DK convenience store, 5600 Alameda Ave. in South-Central El Paso, Texas.
The stabbing, about 9:40 a.m., stemmed from unspecified altercation the men had inside the store. Gomez was stabbed as he was exiting the store, Oviedo said.
Gutierrez fled the scene but was later located and arrested by police, Oviedo said.

The homicide investigation by detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit continues.
Gutierrez was booked into the El Paso County jail in Downtown on Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a bond amount pending. El Paso County court records do not show any past criminal charges.
