A recent report states that a popular cookie company is in trouble and is closing its doors across the country. The report also states that many franchises are up for sale.

The cookie company is Crumbl Cookies. Restaurant Business stated that sales have declined for the cookie company over the last two years. The addition of the dirty sodas to the menu was supposed to boost the company’s sales, but it doesn’t seem to have helped. Restaurant Business also pointed out that at least 57 locations have closed in 2026 and at least 55 franchises are listed for sale.

The first Crumbl Cookies location in Lubbock opened in 2020, with Amarillo opening in 2022. The second Lubbock location opened in 2023.

With the news of so many Crumbl Cookies stores closing or being put on the market, we reached out to the owners to see what the fate of the Amarillo and Lubbock stores would be.
