A suspect was identified in connection with a fatal single-vehicle traffic accident, according to a news release from the Plano Police Department.
Ricardo Gonzalez-Castanon was arrested and booked into the Collin County jail Wednesday and faces one charge of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle, according to jail records.
Plano police and Plano Fire-Rescue responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash at about 9:30 p.m. near 14th Street and Los Rios Boulevard on Nov. 1.
The initial investigation determined that a white Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on La Paz Drive, close to 14th Street, when the driver, Gonzalez-Castanon, attempted a lefthand turn and lost traction.

Gonzalez-Castanon tried to regain control and overcorrected, causing the truck to crash into a wooden power pole and significantly damage the passenger side.
The truck’s passenger, Alex Rangle, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. police said.
Gonzalez-Castanon was transported to a hospital for treatment after the accident.
As of Wednesday, no bond amount was set, the records show.
It was not clear whether Gonzalez-Castanon had an attorney.
No further details about the crash were immediately available.
