LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – (News release from Los Hermanos Familia)
In celebration of Veterans Day, an annual American holiday honoring military members and those who have served, as well as Military Family Appreciation Month in November, Los Hermanos Familia and the Purple Hearts 0900 will hold the annual Veterans Day Parade in Lubbock on Saturday, November 14, 2026!
“We’re inviting all of the community to make plans to be a part of this parade that will honor Veterans who have proudly served their country and our citizens, ” said Amaris Garcia, Chair of the Parade Committee.
She added that they hope to have many supporters to cheer veterans participating from their cars, as well as veterans’ groups and first responders.
“These men and women have served and are serving our community and country with dedication and courage, and for that we are proud to sustain this Lubbock tradition to honor our veterans.”
The 2026 theme is: “250 Years of Freedom”. The public is urged to bring their flags, and businesses along the route are urged to fly their flags for the parade to show veterans they are supported.
All participants are also encouraged to pay tribute to Veterans and all who have served the community by using red, white, and blue colors and American or military branch flags. Veterans, their family members, businesses, advocates, organizations, marching bands, and all advocates are encouraged to participate.
The 2026 Grand Marshals will be WWII veterans.
