As the November General Election approaches, Dallas ISD, in partnership with March to the Polls, encourages all who are eligible to participate in the voting process and make their voices heard.
When is Election Day?
Election Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To avoid long lines, registered voters are encouraged to take advantage of early voting, which allows individuals to cast their ballots at any designated polling location within their county.
On Election Day, those in line by 7 p.m. are still able to enter the vote center. For questions regarding polling places, consult the County Elections Office website.
When does early voting start, and how do I vote early?
Early voting begins Oct. 19 and ends Oct. 30. Registered and eligible early voters can visit any polling location in their residing county.
Early voting locations are on My Voter Portal. Enter your name, county, date of birth, and zip code to look up your registration information and find the nearest polling location.
Who is on the ballot?
Enter your first and last name, and date of birth to view a sample ballot for Dallas County.
What should I bring to the polls?
Under Texas law, voters who possess one of the seven acceptable forms of photo ID must present it at the polls when voting in person. If a voter does not possess an acceptable form of photo ID, more information can be found on Vote Texas’s website.
