Pilates studio inLIFE Wellness is now open near the Richardson border.
InLIFE Pilates began in Australia and has expanded to the United States with locations across North Texas. Co-owner Jo Scott, who led the studio’s expansion to the United States, said inLIFE’s “secret sauce” is its easygoing, welcoming atmosphere, from the studio’s “cozy” interior to instructors knowing their attendees’ names.
“We don’t have a front desk and that’s on purpose, because we don’t want there to be another person and another barrier between the members and the instructors,” Scott said.
A closer look
Scott said she sees all kinds of people at inLIFE classes, from Pilates experts to individuals who have never exercised before.
“Something about inLIFE makes people feel like it’s a safe space where they can come and try something new,” Scott said. “We’re getting people to move their bodies and to create a healthy habit that have never felt comfortable to step into a gym.”
InLIFE also offers a blend of reformer and fusion Pilates classes, including classes focused on strength, cardio and yoga. The new location is inLIFE’s first infrared studio in the United States, using heat panels to relax muscles and support circulation, Scott said.
