LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A weak weather system will continue to bring slight chances of showers through Tuesday afternoon, with light rainfall amounts expected across the region.
KCBD(KCBD)
As a slow-moving shortwave trough tracks northeast over the next 24 hours, isolated showers and storms may linger through Tuesday afternoon. Most moisture is located higher in the atmosphere, so any showers that develop will likely produce little to no precipitation. Some areas may see only trace amounts, though a few locations have already picked up a few hundredths of an inch over the past day.

Dry conditions will return through mid-week with temperatures back to or just above seasonal normals, providing a break in the unsettled weather pattern. However, cooler and wetter conditions are expected to develop by late week through the weekend.
