Dallas EDC Names Data Analyst to Lead Its Data-Driven Economic Strategy » Dallas Innovates

An experienced data scientist has been named to lead the Dallas Economic Development Corp.’s data strategy, leveraging advanced analytics and research to inform decision-making, track economic impact, and identify emerging opportunities that support the city’s sustainable and equitable development, the organization said.

Wanwan (Karina) Yue has been named as the new data analyst at Dallas EDC, an independent nonprofit driving business investment, job creation, and inclusive growth across Dallas.

“Data analytics is how we will tell Dallas’ story to the world,” Dallas EDC CEO Linda McMahon said in a statement. “Karina’s deep expertise will help us better understand market trends, measure our outcomes, and solidify Dallas’ reputation as a top-tier business destination that offers opportunity for all.”

Dallas EDC said that Yue brings a strong background in economics and quantitative research to her new position. Yue earned her doctorate in economics from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she was a visiting assistant professor, conducting research on market behavior and energy economics.

Dallas EDC is a nonprofit organization established by the city of Dallas to drive economic growth and long-term prosperity. The EDC’s mission is to promote Dallas as a globally competitive business destination that fosters economic opportunities for all members of the city.
