EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The U.S. Secret Service will host two recruiting events at El Paso Community College campuses on Wednesday for students, alumni and working professionals interested in law enforcement careers.

The first event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at EPCC’s Valle Verde Campus, 919 Hunter St., in room AST-243.

A second event will run from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Mission del Paso Campus, 10700 Gateway East Blvd., in room R-221.

The Secret Service is recruiting for Special Agent and Secret Service Police Officer positions.

Attendees can learn about career opportunities, take part in question-and-answer sessions and apply on-site for open law enforcement positions.

Applicants should bring a laptop and have an active USAJobs.gov account.

The agency also asks applicants to bring a federal résumé of no more than two pages and proof of education.

Transcripts must include the college or university name, the applicant’s first and last name, cumulative GPA and degree conferral date.

Applicants should also bring a DD-214 or statement of service and an SF-50, if applicable.

Some applicants may receive an invitation to a future Accelerated Candidate Event, which the Secret Service says can shorten the application process by 120 days.
