AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police have called in the SWAT team to assist with a barricaded subject situation in Northeast Austin on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to the 8100 block of Cameron Road, near Rutherford Lane, after receiving a call around 3:47 p.m.

Police said the individual may be inside a vehicle, but they have not confirmed that information.
The SWAT team was en route to the scene, and no road closures were reported at the time.
