The viral, polka dot-outfitted math-rock musicians are coming to Texas in May.

Viral Quebecois math-rock duo Angine De Poitrine have announced an international tour for next year, and it’s coming through Deep Ellum. The tour stops in Dallas on May 10 at The Bomb Factory. The Wednesday announcement also included dates across the U.S., Europe, South America, Canada and Australia.

The polka dot-adorned duo, which performs anoynmously (with pseudonyms Khn on guitar and Klek on drums) has had a huge year thanks in part to the release of their latest album, “Vol. II,” which dropped in April. Viral performances on KEXP and “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” have catapulted their fresh, jangly instrumental sound to wider acclaim. Pitchfork called them “the world’s weirdest party band” while praising the new record: “It just happens to sound like Lightning Bolt trapped inside ‘Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.’”

The North Texas weather might be back in the low 90s by the time the Candian breakouts make it our way, but this is already shaping up to be one of the most-anticipated concerts in Dallas for 2027, and don’t be surprised if it sells out early on. Good luck fighting our associate culture and music editor Alyssa Fields in the ticket queue.

Oh, and expect to see costumes inspired by their signature art pop looks for Halloween this year. We’ve already encountered an impressively detailed one out and about.
