EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — The KFOX14 Severe Weather Team has issued a Weather Warn for Thursday and Friday as heavy rain and strong storms could affect parts of the Borderland.
A strong low pressure system moving in from the California coast is expected to draw tropical moisture into the region.
That moisture will help fuel showers and storms over the next several days.
Some storms may bring gusty winds and periods of heavy rain.
Downpours could lead to localized flooding, especially in areas that receive repeated rainfall or have poor drainage.
