Early voting is drawing thousands of voters to polling places across Tarrant County, including to the Como Community Center, but were some of the machines out of commission as residents went to vote at the Fort Worth site on Tuesday?
The short answer: Yes, there were some machines that needed tech support at the Como voting location, at 4660 Horne St, but not for long, according to the county.
In a Wednesday email, the county confirmed that six machines required technician support on Tuesday. A help ticket was submitted at 8:40 a.m. and by 9:16 a.m., all but one machine was back online.
“We did not experience major delays because of this issue,” the statement from the Tarrant County reads.
Technicians are always on standby during an election, according the county.
