EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The U.S. Navy Blue Angels arrived in El Paso on Wednesday ahead of the 2026 Amigo Airsho this weekend.

The team is headlining this year’s show, taking place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24-25, at Biggs Army Airfield on Fort Bliss.

It marks the Blue Angels’ first performance in El Paso since 2011.

Capt. Adam Bryan said the excitement from the El Paso community makes a difference for the team, especially when performing in a city it hasn’t visited in several years.

“Every single place we go to is exciting, but when we have the community that is really excited, especially one that we haven’t been to in quite a while, we feel it in the town and that gets us more excited to perform every single day. Not just the six people flying these planes, but all the people in our team,” Bryan said.

LCDR. Connor O’Donnell, the Blue Angels’ No. 5 pilot, said the team is approaching the weekend at its best.

“You are getting the Blue Angels in peak form. We’re as close as we’re going to be, as fast as we’re going to be the whole year, and I hope folks come out and enjoy the show,” O’Donnell said.

The Blue Angels were formed in 1946 and are celebrating their 80th anniversary in 2026.

This year’s Amigo Airsho will also feature the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team, along with other aerial performers.
