Aaron Reitz, the one-time AG candidate and now U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, says major Houston-area public corruption indictments will be announced later this afternoon.
He says there will be a joint press conference around 1:30 p.m. CST between his office, FBI Houston, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
There is some speculation that this could be related to the recent arrest of the Fort Bend County Tax Assessor-Collector Carmen Turner.
