The new facility provides high school students with hands-on training, including medical labs, to prepare them for college and future careers.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Tuloso-Midway ISD students now have new opportunities to explore their future careers following the opening of a new training facility funded through the district’s 2023 bond.
The district celebrated the milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, giving students access to new classrooms and hands-on learning spaces designed to prepare them for life after high school.

“This is an exciting milestone for Tuloso-Midway ISD and for the community,” said Diane Jackson, the district’s chief of staff. “This is part of what the community voted on for Bond 2023.”
The facility allows students to explore different career paths, gain practical experience, and connect with industry partners.
For senior Rolando Arias, the new medical labs are especially exciting. “I’m looking forward to our new medical labs for my patient care technician class,” Arias said. “I’m just so excited to be able to step in and really get into these real-world scenarios.”
Jackson said the goal is to give students more options, whether they plan to attend college or enter the workforce after graduation. “Here they can explore those options and see what they would like to do with their future,” Jackson said.
Arias said the investment also sends an important message to students.
“It’s really showing me, and I think all the other students here, that our community cares about us and that they’re investing in our education,” Arias said.
The district hopes the new facility will help students discover their interests and gain the skills needed for their future careers.
