President Donald Trump is expected to make his second visit to Corpus Christi in less than a year — this time a midterm rally scheduled for next week.
Although a specific location hasn’t been announced, the rally date is listed as Oct. 27 on a page on the Republican National Committee website.
Doors will open at about 10:30 a.m., with the main event beginning at 2 p.m., it states.
Trump’s appearance will coincide with the last week of early voting in a midterm election that in Texas has drawn competitive gubernatorial and congressional races.
Trump was last in the Coastal Bend during a Feb. 27 visit to the Port of Corpus Christi where he emphasized the city’s place in “American Energy Dominance” and the port’s significance in export trade.
He headlined a rally at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in 2022, and also spent time in the Coastal Bend shortly after Hurricane Harvey’s landfall in 2017.
