President Donald Trump is heading back to Texas, this time with the Gulf Coast in his sights.
With the Nov. 3 midterm elections fast approaching, Trump is scheduled to hold a rally in Corpus Christi on Oct. 27, marking another campaign stop in a state where Republicans are fighting to maintain their political foothold.
The Republican National Committee’s event page lists the rally for 2 p.m. Tuesday, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. and the program beginning at 12:30 p.m. Organizers have yet to announce the venue or identify other speakers expected to attend, according to the event’s RSVP site.
The Corpus Christi appearance comes as Trump makes a renewed push to rally support for Republicans ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections. Earlier this month, he visited San Antonio for a rally at Freeman Coliseum, where he campaigned for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton and congressional candidate Carlos De La Cruz.
The Oct. 7 rally drew attention beyond its campaign message. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said authorities escorted 18 people from the venue for “disruptive behavior,” while questions about the crowd size sparked a separate debate.
Those hoping to attend Trump’s Tuesday Corpus Christi rally must register through the event website, which limits sign-ups to four tickets per person.
