A former Fox 4 (KDFW-TV) reporter has announced her new gig.
Payton May posted on social media Thursday that she’s joining CBS News Boston (WBZ-TV). She’s already started at the station and made her on-air debut Thursday evening.
“I feel incredibly honored to join this amazing team of journalists (at the first TV station in New England),” May wrote. “A door opened up to continue pursuing my passion of political reporting, and I can’t wait to dive into all the issues that matter to this community. THANK YOU for the constant support & I hope you’ll keep tuning in.”
May departed Fox 4 in late September after two years of work.
Originally from Chicago, May is named after Bears legend Walter Payton. She graduated from Syracuse University and interned at a couple of news radio stations in the area.
After college, May worked as an anchor/reporter in Traverse City, Michigan, and later as a reporter in Oklahoma City before joining Fox 4.
