Two SEC teams in need of a win will meet Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Texas A&M football has struggled, losing three games before Halloween. A win today keeps alive what little hope the Aggies have at the College Football Playoff. Alabama has lost two straight, albeit to top-15 teams, and a loss to an unranked Aggies squad could greatly diminish the Crimson Tide’s postseason host.

The SEC schedule hasn’t been kind to A&M (4-3, 1-3). While a win over Citadel brought back some good vibes, the offense’s struggles against its peers are well-documented. Quarterback Marcel Reed threw for 189 yards and two interceptions on 19-for-39 passing in a loss to Missouri, and the Aggies are in the bottom half of the conference in offensive yards per game.

No. 13 Alabama (5-2, 3-2) has hit a bit of a lull after a 5-0 start. Quarterback Keelon Russell struggled against Tennessee, completing 19-of-29 passes for 147 yards and two interceptions in the 27-10 defeat. The Crimson Tide will be without star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams, who suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
