LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -Lubbock’s first responders received extra recognition Saturday morning.
Lubbock Unity in Action and His High Impact hosted an appreciation and awards ceremony honoring them.
Event organizers said this is the first ceremony in Lubbock to honor all of the city’s first responders together — including police, fire, EMS and nine other agencies.
They said the event holds special significance, with this year marking the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
