LUBBOCK, Texas (October 26, 2026) – The schedule for the Lubbock Christian University fall intrasquad Ducks & Skunks series have been finalized, with game one of the series slated to start at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Hays Field.
Game two will be played at 11 a.m. on Oct. 31 and the series will conclude on Oct. 26 at 2 p.m.
This will be the 56th edition of Ducks & Skunks, which dates back to 1970 when then-LCC (Lubbock Christian College) head coach Larry Hays devised the series to celebrate the end of fall practices. The name Ducks & Skunks dates back to 1962, however, when LCC’s first baseball team needed uniforms and the Post Cereal Mill generously donated some left-over uniforms with a Skunk on the front them.
The Chaparral roster has been split in half for the series, with pitching coach Jermaine Van Buren leading the Blue Ducks and hitting coach Brandon Walker leading the Red Skunks. The coaching staff will use the series to evaluate players heading into the winter offseason. Full rosters for both teams are listed below.
Lubbock Christian finished the 2026 season 34-23, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight season and seventh time overall.
