When the No. 11 Texas Longhorns travel to Faurot Field for the first time since 2011 on November 7, kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Central against the No. 23 Missouri Tigers, the SEC announced Monday.
ABC or ESPN will televise the game.
Before heading back on the road, Texas plays its third straight home game against Mississippi State this weekend as the Longhorns try to take advantage of a reeling Bulldogs team that has lost three straight games and may be without star quarterback Kamario Taylor. Head coach Steve Sarkisian’s team opened as a 20.5-point favorite on Sunday, according to FanDuel.
At 6-2 this season with losses to then-No. 24 Mississippi State and then-No. 9 Ole Miss, Missouri travels to Arkansas to face the 3-4 Razorbacks next weekend. The best victory for the Tigers this season was a 45-17 home win over the then-No 8 Gators in early October.
The first game in the series between Texas and Missouri was in 1894, but most meetings came when the two teams were members of the Big 12 Conference. The Horns lead the all-time series 18-9-1, including a 33-16 win over the Tigers in the Texas Bowl in 2017. In the team’s last trip to Columbia, Texas lost 17-5 in 2011.
