A San Antonio staple is giving back to its customers after decades of serving the city’s Southside. For one day only, Rocky’s Taco House on Pleasanton Road is offering its cheese enchilada plate for less than $1.50, a price that may not even buy you a taco at some places nowadays.

Rocky’s Taco House, also known as Original Rocky’s Taco House, is gearing up for its $1.09 enchilada plate sale, set for later this month. Not to be confused with two other San Antonio restaurants with the same name, the business has been promoting its upcoming cheese enchilada plate deal over the last few weeks and even created a Facebook account to announce the one-day discount.

“The Original Rocky’s Taco on 2423 Pleasanton rd is going to have a Customer appreciation day 10-28-26,” the business wrote in a Facebook post.

October 28 is a Wednesday, but don’t line up too early, as the promotion will only be offered from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. that day. The $1.09 deal includes what appears to be two cheese enchiladas, rice and beans, and it is only available to customers who dine in. That being said, it’s probably been several decades since any Mexican plate has been priced that low.

Rocky’s Taco House has been around since the 1990s and has consistently been one of the Southside’s longest-running 24-hour restaurants. The business is known for its iconic window paintings and brightly colored interior.
