If there’s one thing El Paso knows how to do, it’s put on a show in the sky!

We’re pretty spoiled when it comes to beautiful sunsets here in the Sun City. From vibrant oranges to gorgeous shades of pink and purple, our skies can make even an ordinary evening feel a little magical.

But after a round of intense storms brought some much-needed rain to the Borderland, Mother Nature decided to give us a little something extra.

Dark storm clouds gave way to some of the most breathtaking pink and orange skies, and I wasn’t the only El Pasoan who immediately reached for their phone to capture the moment!

El Paso’s Stormy Skies Turned Into a Colorful Masterpiece

El Paso doesn’t always get a good soaking, but when the rain does roll through, it can make for some pretty dramatic weather.

According to the National Weather Service, El Paso recorded 0.84 inches of rain on October 23 , with thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds also reported.

And while the storms themselves were intense, the views that followed were absolutely stunning.

I managed to snap a photo shortly after a heavy downpour, and I couldn’t believe how beautiful the sky looked. The clouds were still hanging over the Franklin Mountains, but everything around them was glowing in shades of pink, orange, and purple.

It was one of those moments where you just had to stop whatever you were doing and admire the view.
