FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KATV) — The success of Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” has put a new spotlight on the women in the team’s iconic boots and blue-and-white uniforms, turning many of the cheerleaders into celebrities in their own right. This football season, one of the faces to watch is Haley Bogdon, an Arkansas Razorback alumna now in her rookie season cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.

There was a sparkle in Bogdon’s eyes when she talked about being a DCC.

“It’s truly unreal getting to dance on that field and with this group of girls,” Bogdon said.

Before joining the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Bogdon spent her college years cheering on Arkansas as a Razorback dancer, an experience she said she wouldn’t trade.

“There is truly nothing I feel like, like a Hog fan. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was the most incredible experience,” Bogdon said.

Bogdon said her dance background started as early as her love for the Cowboys.

“I started dance when I was 3 years old when my parents put me in a class, and pretty much I haven’t stopped taking classes and dancing since,” she said.

The Frisco native said she’s been a fan for her entire life and she dreamed of becoming a DCC.

Bogdon said the moment the dream became real came after months of training and tryouts, when uniforms were handed out.

“I really couldn’t believe it and see Charlotte walk out with our uniforms,” she said. “I really did my best not to black out almost; I was like, take this in because I’ll never get to experience it like this again,” Bogdon said.

Now on the sidelines during games, Bogdon is also set to appear in Season 4 of Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.”

“It has already been an experience of a lifetime, one that I couldn’t have even imagined,” she said.

Outside of cheerleading, Bogdon graduated with a nursing degree and works as a part-time nurse when she is not at games or practice. She said that once her time cheering is done, she wants to continue taking care of others.
