LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Supporters gathered at the Fiesta Center in Lubbock to hear Rep. James Talarico. Watch his speech in the video above.
The location for the Talarico rally on Tuesday has been changed to the Fiesta Center at 1902 E. Fourth Street.(Texas Tech Democrats)
Democrat Talarico is facing Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in the race for U.S. Senate.
The rally marks a stop on what the campaign is calling its “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts Tour,” which the announcement describes as a statewide effort to encourage voter turnout.
The event is sponsored by Democrats for Texas, a registered student organization at Texas Tech University.
About the tour
The campaign described the tour as an effort to “turn out the vote and bring working people together to take power back from billionaire mega-donors and corrupt politicians.”
This is the same day President Trump visited Lubbock, campaigning for Attorney General Paxton.
