Fort Bliss hosts event to showcase 5th Armored Brigade’s U.S. military firepower

EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The 5th Armored Brigade at Fort Bliss held a special event today to showcase the firepower used by the U.S. military.

The event gave attendees a chance to see military capabilities on display at the Fort Bliss brigade.

The exercise is being held as part of the 5th Armored Brigade’s Super Surge, aimed at capturing “dynamic, front-line imagery and audio” of heavy armor forces conducting realistic mobilization training. The event is also intended to highlight how Observer, Coach/Trainers prepare and validate National Guard and Reserve formations for global combat deployments.
